Where does the protein come from?

The 30 grams of protein in the Protein RTD come from milk protein concentrate, which contains both the whey and casein factions. Typically, milk protein concentrate registers at 80% whey and 20% casein, which makes it predominantly whey with a boost of casein that adds thickness and texture to the blend.

Whey protein is, of course, the most popular form of supplemental protein on the market, due in large part to its status as a complete protein – meaning it contains all nine essential amino acids.^[1] Additionally, it is highly bioavailable^[2] and is strongly associated with strength and muscle gain.^[3-6]
