In the ever-evolving world of fat burners, few ingredients have caused as much stir as DMAA. Around 2015, the FDA won its battle against DMAA, and as a result, many popular supplements had to change. This includes the popular fat burned fromย  Hi-Tech Pharmaceuticalsโ€™ Stimerex-ES. By 2018, Stimerex-ES faced a reformulation to stay compliant with the changing landscape.

This blog delves into the new iteration of Stimerex -ES. Weโ€™ll dissect its current ingredients and compare them to the bygone DMAA-charged version. But wait, thereโ€™s more! Weโ€™ll also explore some potent alternatives available in todayโ€™s market, ensuring you have a comprehensive picture of effective fat-burning options in 2024.

What Is Stimerex-ES?

Stimerex-ES (Extra Strength) stands tall as a well-regarded fat burner within Hi-Tech Pharmaceuticalsโ€™ vast product line. Itโ€™s a popular choice for many consumers seeking consistent weight loss support. Letโ€™s delve into the science behind Stimerex-ES and explore how it aims to achieve results:

  • Energy Boost: The formula incorporates ingredients designed to elevate energy levels, potentially enhancing your workouts and daily activities.โ€
  • Thermogenesis Enhancement: Stimerex-ES may help increase your bodyโ€™s thermogenesis, the process by which it burns calories to produce heat.โ€  This translates to potentially burning more calories throughout the day.
  • Appetite Suppression: Certain ingredients in Stimerex-ES may work to curb appetite, reduce cravings, and aid in portion control.โ€

The Old:

Prior to 2018, Stimerex-ES held a reputation as a powerful thermogenic fat burner. Hereโ€™s a breakdown of the old and new formulas, highlighting the key ingredient changes:

The Original Formula:

    • Acacia Rigidula Extract (125mg Phenylethylamine Alkaloids): This extract provided a significant stimulant effect.โ€
    • Theobroma Cocoa Extract: Offered potential mood and cognitive benefits.โ€
    • Phenylethylamine HCl: Another stimulant contributing to energy levels.โ€
    • 1,3-Dimethylamine HCl (DMAA): This was the most impactful ingredient, acting as a potent stimulant and thermogenic agent. However, the FDA has since banned its use in dietary supplements due to safety concerns.โ€

The New:

The current Stimerex-ES features a revised ingredient list:

  • Senegalia Berlandieri Extract: A stimulant with properties similar to Acacia Rigidula Extract.โ€
  • N, N-Dimethylphenylethylamine: Phenylethylamine Alkaloidโ€
  • Theobromine: Carries over from the original formula, potentially aiding mood and cognition.โ€
  • 2-Aminoisoheptane: Another stimulant included in the new blend often compared to DMAA.โ€ .โ€

Changes Beyond Ingredients:

The new label also reflects a shift in transparency. The pre-2018 version disclosed the amount of phenylethylamine alkaloids from Acacia Rigidula. Currently, the label reveals the total weight of the proprietary blend, along with specific quantities of Ephedra, Synephrine, and Caffeine, all totaling 660mg โ€“ the same as the older formula.

Key Takeaways:

  • The pre-2018 Stimerex-ES packed a powerful punch with DMAA, a now-banned ingredient.โ€
  • The reformulated version utilizes alternative stimulants like Senegalia Berlandieri Extract and 2-Aminoisoheptane.โ€
  • While the total active ingredient amount remains the same, the overall effect might be milder due to the exclusion of DMAA.โ€

Stimerex-ES Ingredients:

Now that weโ€™ve reviewed the changes, letโ€™s explore their potential effects:

Senegalia Berlandieri Extract V. Acacia Rigidula Extract:

Similarities: Both extracts are potent stimulants. Senegalia Berlandieri, also known as Acacia Berlandieri, shares many of the same alkaloids (including Phenylethylamine, N-Methylphenethylamine, and N, N-Dimethylphenethylamine) as Acacia Rigidula Extract. This translates to potentially similar functions like increased energy, appetite suppression, and mood elevation.โ€  (1)

Compared to Acacia Rigidula Extract, the compounds are actually very similar. However, like with DMAA, Acacia Rigidula has had its feuds with the FDA and is currently not available for usage in dietary supplements.โ€

The Alkaloids:

We mentioned in the section above that Senegalia Berlandieri Extract and Acaia Rigidula Extract share similar alkaloids (the Phenylethylamine Alkaloids). These include Phenethylamine, N-Methylphenethylamine, and N, N-Dimethylphenethylamine. The potency for these alkaloids may be stronger in Acacia Rigidula, though without knowing how much is yielded by Senegalia, we canโ€™t directly compare strengths.โ€

In the highlighted section, you can see that R-beta-methylphenylethylamine is not in the new formula. This is because R-Beta-Methylphenylethylamine was the alkaloid the FDA targeted in Acadia Rigidual. So, instead, there may be a higher concentration of the other alkaloids present, including N, N-Dimethylphenylethylamine.โ€ .

These alkaloids may have many uses, including being a stimulant and improving mood and cognitive performances. Another trait marketed with Stimerex is its โ€œNo Crash formula.โ€ย  Some studies allocate this property to N, N-Dimethylphenylethylamine alkaloids, but overall, we would need more research on these alkaloid effects.โ€

Theobromine V. Theobroma Cocoa Extract:

The reformulation replaces Theobroma Cocoa Extract with Theobromine. While both come from cocoa beans, Theobromine is the primary alkaloid. This shift likely simplifies the ingredient list and focuses on theobromineโ€™s potential benefits, like bronchodilation and a sustained energy boost compared to caffeine.โ€  (2,3)

2-Aminoisoheptane V. 1,3- Dimethylamine HCl:

This new addition acts as a potential replacement for DMAA. Sharing similar molecular structures and mechanisms, DMHA may elevate dopamine and noradrenaline levels while potentially aiding in bronchodilation, similar to theobromine.โ€

This translates to a potential boost in energy, focus, mood, and appetite suppression. However, like DMAA, DMHA possesses strong stimulant properties, requiring further research to confirm its safety and effectiveness.โ€  (4)

Key Takeaways:

  • The reformulation removed DMAA and Acacia Rigidula Extract due to regulatory restrictions.โ€
  • Senegalia Berlandieri Extract and DMHA were introduced as potential replacements, offering similar but potentially milder stimulant effects.โ€
  • The overall formula maintains the same active ingredient quantity (660mg) but might have a different impact due to the ingredient changes.โ€

What Can You Expect From Stimerex?

Hi-Tech navigated the reformulation of Stimerex-ES by incorporating new ingredients while maintaining the total active ingredient content (660mg). However, the effects might differ from the pre-2018 version. Hereโ€™s a breakdown of what you can expect:

Potential Benefits:

  • Enhanced Focus: The presence of Theobromine and Senegalia Berlandieri Extract might contribute to improved focus and concentration.โ€

  • Thermogenic Boost: The new formula may still promote thermogenesis, the process of burning calories for heat production. This could lead to increased calorie expenditure throughout the day.โ€

  • Energy Support: Stimulants like DMHA and potentially remaining alkaloids from Senegalia Berlandieri Extract may work together to elevate energy levels and support physical activity.โ€

  • Appetite Control: While not the primary focus, some ingredients like DMHA might still contribute to appetite suppression, aiding in portion control. However, individual results may vary.โ€

  • Mood Elevation: Certain alkaloids, potentially present in higher concentrations due to the reformulation, might influence mood and promote feelings of well-being. However, more research is needed to solidify this claim.โ€

Now, letโ€™s check out some customer reviews!

While Stimerex-ES offers a unique approach to weight loss, it might not be the perfect fit for everyone. Hereโ€™s a breakdown of some potential alternatives and how they compare:

Like Stimerex-ES and Hardcore, Hydroxyelite is a popular fat burner from Hi-Tech Pharmaceuticals. However, the formula for Hydroxyelite is often recognized for its appetite suppression properties instead of energy/thermogenesis. Compared to Stimerex, Hydroxyelite only shares two ingredients; Caffeine and 2-Aminoisoheptane HCl.

The remaining 6 ingredients consist of:

  • Bauhinia Purpurea
  • Bacopa Extract
  • Walnut Bark Extract
  • Cirsium Oligophyllum Extract
  • Rauwolscine Extract
  • Garcinia Cambogia Extract

The combination of these ingredients can support a boost in energy, appetite suppression, mood/focus, and thermogenesis. (5,6,7,8,9)

Between these fat burners, if youโ€™re more interested in a high-energy fat burner, you should try Stimerex ES. But if youโ€™re concerned with controlling cravings and appetite suppression, Hydroxyelite may be the better option. However, these products are considerably different. If you tried both and felt Stimerex was too strong, but Hydroxyelite wasnโ€™t strong enough, you should check out Lipodrene.โ€

Customer Review By Alex: โ€œOne cap in the morning kicks in within an hour. I have a weak coffee in the interim. Gets me going all day. (Use a more expensive courier option for AU)โ€

Stimerex Hardcore actually shares a very similar ingredient profile to Stimerex-ES.

Stimerex ES vs stimerex hardcoreStimerex ES vs stimerex hardcore

From the label pictured above, you can see Stimerex Hardcore features 475mg of active ingredients in the proprietary blend but the same amount of Caffeine and Ephedra as Stimerex-ES. Which adds up to being about 35mg less active ingredients. Of these ingredients, both versions of Stimerex contain:

  • Ephedra Extract
  • 2-Aminoisoheptane HCl (DMHA)
  • Senegalia Berlandieri Extract [Yielding 200mg Phenylethylamine Alkaloids]
  • Theobromine
  • Green Tea Extract
  • Naringen
  • Yohimbe Extract
  • Caffeine

Stimerex Hardcore lacks two ingredients; Citrus Aurantium Extract (25 mg of Synephrine) and 6,7 Dihydroxybergamottin. Instead, it features 3-dimethyl Aminoethanol Bitartrate (aka DMAE). Another difference is the disclosure of the yielded Phenylethylamine Alkaloids. If you remember, the old version of Stimerex-ES yielded 150mg of these alkaloids, whereas the current Stimerex Hardcore yields 200mg.

Is Stimerex Hardcore Stronger?

Between the two Stimerex versions, we would say these fat burners likely are matched for boosting energy and promoting appetite suppression. However, we would say Stimerex-ES may be better for thermogenesis. Meanwhile, Stimerex Hardcore may be better for mood/focus. However, it is important to remember that individual experiences will vary.โ€

Customer Review By Marshall: โ€œThe dosage of the product is excellent and the yohimbe bark is excellent for lowering blood pressure. The dmha (2-amino) has a very long half life about 9-11 hours one pill last me all day clean energy.โ€
